What we mean by this is, using up what you already have in the pantry, refrigerator or freezer. In this case we looked for veggies that we already had (no extra trips to the store). Many times we look at what we’ve got in the kitchen that we need to use before it spoils or gets too old. This helps rotate food and helps make you feel good about using up all the inventory and leftovers.
